Pensive Woman, oil on canvas, 16x20.  This one is a work in progress.  It is 2nd of two paintings done consecutive Saturday poses.  The first was more exact a likeness, from a position further to the left.  Here I cut out a few more years off the model.  Once done, it was missing something, so I invented the shadows of some blinds which seemed consistent with the mood.  Went easy with them, and probably will beef them up some.  Maybe also shadow more of the model, Joy (ironically) to put the focus on her face and that side.   I like the modeling of shadows and dimensionality that results on this one.
