Knuckleheads
Acrylic.
This was done for an art show with a "water" theme. My
father in law (we call him Papper) took the photo years ago and it
is such an engaging scene I thought I would paint it for the
show. Time was short - I thought I would try a watercolor to
use some "watercolor canvas" I had gotten as a gift.
Tried it and hated it - the paint tended to bead up, and if I got it
on, it could be washed off with the next strokes! So, since the
canvas was for water media, I went to acrylic instead. Acrylic
is a pain because it dries so fast. I used some glazing media
to slow it down but even so... I like the painting and have in
a dark blue frame so it looks good. This is a gift for
"the Papper".
