PeasantView

Peasant View - oil on canvas board.  I overlooked this painting when publishing my web page even though it hangs in a hallway of the house.  I painted this in college just for fun, one afternoon.  It is "after" as they say a painting I saw in a catalog.  For some reason Cathy really likes this one, as simple as it is.  What I like is the fact that some of the sky isn't painted at all, but is still bare primed canvas.  The range of colors in muted sun is probably it's best feature.  There's a hen and chicks are to the left but not resolved in this view.
